installing them though I pulled a bonehead move: there are things that look like tabs i thought were just flash from the casting process so I grounded one of them off with a file. turns out they hold the light in place rather snug. now I have 1 loose fog light lol. I have to get some foam and fit it in the opening so it doesnt move.

I wanna mod mine to be able to turn them on all the time no matter if the headlights or parking lights are on but I don't like the idea of wiring them to the red wire and them being able to stay on if I accidentally leave them on.

Has anyone tried wiring it to something like the cigarette lighter for example? A source thats only powered when the car is on? Would this work?

well I was hoping to be able to turn them on even without the parking lights. if I cant come up with a decent way then I'll end up wiring them to the parking lights.

You could always wire them to the ignition on your stereo, that way the stereo doesnt have to be on so that they stay on and its really easy to get to.
