could you post back here when you actually get them? If they can get them to you from across the ocean pretty quickly, I might go ahead and pick up a pair. I am doing a WHOLE bunch of work on my car pretty soon (TSX lights, VRD grills, wheel painting, etc...) and if they get your VRD's to you quickly, I might as well and bite the bullet since I will have my bumper off to get to my headlights and grills.

they're not going to do it, considering VRD themselves use to sell them for 200+ even with there group buys. these fogs are cheap enough as it is. even when they use to sell them for 80 shipped.
they also wouldn't need to do a group buy since so many people are buying them already at regular price, there just going to lose money

its just the fact that i dont feel like replacing the whole thing if the glass breaks. just want some sort of like strong vinyl or something to protect it in the first place.

Im not entirely sure I put it in the right spot...but yeah check the new thread ...its an "interest check" right now.
I'd have to front $800 biggens if Im doing the main payment
Edit: Frack, I broke the rules...sorry guys...gonna see what it takes to become a sponsored seller or see if APT might somehow make me a US based retailer/partner...

Yeah, sorry. I am now well versed on the rules/regs on this type of thing. I have inquired about becoming a sponsor on this site and received pricing for 1 month (enough for a group buy...maybe 2...not sure)
However, I was originally going to take a hit on shipping the kits out on my own dime, but with the sponsorship fee put on top...I'd be losing over $200 ...looks like this is sinking fast.
I really wanted to do this for you guys. I love this community, I honestly feel like I should pay for a registration fee because there is SO much information on this site.
There are only two ways I can do it now:
1) I can find a way to get the APT's to the US cheaper than they can (not looking hopeful)
2) A current sponsor on the forums will partner with me for a 1 or 2-time group buy.
Please don't get your hopes up, I found a way, but there is too much red tape in the way...I work for the government...and I know red tape.

it cool you were trying to help people but i dont see any of that happening because someone in the end is going to lose money. A vendor on here really has nothing to gain by doing it unless they sell them for more than $80 so that defeats the whole purpose.

Honestly, I didn't mind losing money on the deal if I got to help out other scionlifers...that is how crazy I am.
I was going to get them in for $80 and then ask for like $3 on top for shipping (estimate was $7 for shipping)
So I would have lost $40 - $50 per 10 sets...not a biggie.
If I could help save you guys $23 on a set of VRD's IT WOULD BE WORTH IT...to me.
Im not here to make money, just to help out...but yeah...can't swallow the $200...guess I will just fork over the $105 for my own set and call it a day...though I am still pursuing alternate channels.
