Just wondering, are 65w hyper yellow bulbs alright for this? Or will that be too strong and possibly melt the housing?

I think he was actually asking about the housing and not the glass itself. I am also wondering about this as well to how well the whole fog lamp will hold up if high wattage bulbs are installed. If I remember someone said one of their housings melted due to a high wattage bulb being used but don't quote me on this.

Well, I was reading a few pages back and it said that someone bought 75w and someone replied saying that they heard from someone (wow, a lot of someones ) that it melt the housing. Im not talking about the glass, it would have to create a lot of heat, I am talking about the housing.

high wattage bulbs probably wont melt the actual housing but theres a good chance it could fry your harness and/or wiring

What are the fogs currently going for from apt.auto? They are something I've been meaning to get for a while now but it's been a while since I've checked and I see that he currently doesn't have any.

They said later in Feb. They go for $105 if you were curious ($80 and $25 shipping).

I run 6k hid's in my apt's. Have for 6 months, no problem. Aluminum housing and a glass lense. They are nice

hid's, no matter what temp they are, run less wattage than any halogen bulb so youre in no danger of melting any wiring

Yeah that number means its color on the color spectrum, and its measured in kalvins (thats why there is a k at the end) which is a unit for temperature. I ordered them already, I was viewing the wrong ones, I was looking at HB3's and I needed H3's.

if anyone is wondering, these are the bulbs I got.

If you are looking for bulbs, stick with 2500k's. they are yellow on the color spectrum and are the best for visibility through fog.

Oh I remember now. It's not the fog light housing that got destroyed but it was the bulb itself. He used high wattage bulbs in the fog lights and they ended up melting inside. Making it really difficult to replace.
