Badgeless Upper Grille Mod??
I know a few people on here have done this, whats the easiest way to go about fitting/cutting a lower grille to fit in the upper? how do you mount it?
i was thinking about doing this or going with maybe vrd's. but i'd like to give this a shot.
i did a search but the DIY thread that came up was locked and the OP's post was deleted

try to look locally for a bottom grill, go to scion meets and someone with the bottom grill foggies might have their stock bottom grille left around and might sell it for cheap, I got mines for $20.

i was also thinking of going for the badgeless oem grille
but i dont really have the guts to do something like that,
so i was thinking of buying the vrd grille as an alternative
but dont really want to. so the EASIEST way is to. . .
1. cut the scion emblem and weld the piece together
2. buy a lower grille
or
3. dont do nothing at all

This was my first mod and it looked awesome. The way I did it was make cuts in the bottom of the grille for the chrome trim tabs. Instead of 3M taping it together, I just used some cement glue to keep the tabs from popping off of the grille. If you would like a better explanation, PM me. Pics:
