Default bBist Lip Kit (fiberglass version) W/ PICS!!!

I recently ordered a bBist fiberglass front lip and recieved it(picked it up) yesterday.

The lip is beautiful, it is very smooth and fits like a glove, well maybe even a little tighter.

When i first put it on i had a little trouble, but then again it was at 11pm and i was dead tired. But i came home today and put it on with a little bit of elbow grease, and some vaseline and was able to slip it on without a problem.

I took a couple of pics, however i cant seem to find my camera cable so i will upload them later.

Review of the lip: great fitment, dare i say better than OEM because this thing hugs the front bumper, no need for the black rubbery stuff the oem lip uses. Now i only purchased the front lip so i cant comment about the rest, however if it is anything like the front, then it should fit awesome as well.

Also, those of you that have a Super White tC will love this kit, because it comes as a bright white color, and if you are low on cash, you can slap it on until you have enough to paint it.

edit: i will be having the lip painted and installed within the week or two.

in the pics it doesnt look like good fitment, but i didnt really put it on, i just pushed it to wherever it would fit, if i had taken the time to actually put it on it would fit really good, plus this is the second set of pics and i didnt feel like doing it all over again.

also, the two things on the bottom are the support mounts, they arent really needed so they will be grinded off. however this lip was a prototype, so thats why it has this ONE flaw.

im not sure about the FG version, but the CF version is 775 i think.

dont you already have a lip kit tho? or do you want to replace with c/f so you can match your hood/hatch, lucky a$$.

wow 775 is not bad....yeah I have thr OEM lip kit but I would take that one off and replace it with this one. but I also would like and probably need the splitter to avoid scraping the hell out of the bottome cuz my current one is naty.

but yeah I wanna match my hood and hatch. I should be ggetting the vented hood from FX soon if it ever gets in or they contact me.

my fiancee saw the CF door panels that firmware has and she loved them so maybe she will let me buy them later

absolutely nothing design wise, or at least from what i can tell.

basically the main difference is the carbon fiber version because, well its in carbon fiber hahaha.

the fiberglass version is just way cheap, i got it for a steal so i picked it up. i was going to purchase the oem lip because i needed a front lip, and me and steve were just talking and he let me know about this, so i said okay on the spot.

so you still have to drill some holes like oem lip kit?

with any lip kit your going to have to drill holes.

however, teh way this kit fits, its not aboslutely necessary, im sure i could use some double sided tape and thats it, but i would rather put it on with screws so it wont fall off.

however, the best part is that you dont have to dremel in your bumper, you can just screw it on, and if i dont like it later on i can take it off, and the holes will be unseen.

how would you rate the quality of the fiberglass? is it flexible, brittle, too thick, etc.

the finish is smooth, kinda like polyurethane, however it is really thick, hard to get it around the bends and stuff, but once you get it, then its good.

definately a two person job with this lip.

okay guys, after having answered HKSpeed's question i thought.. hey, if its thick fiberglass it shouldnt be easy to break right?

so i did a little test, and i will admit to it right now, this is probably the stupidest thing i have ever done with any car part...

i went up to my second story balcony with my lip, and i tossed the lip down onto the cement to see what would happen, if it would crack or not, and it didnt thank god haha. no damage whatsoever to the lip, so now im feeling a little confident that this thing wont be as easy to break as other items made of fiberglass are.
