Also on the exterior of your pieces, you want your final coat of resin to either be waxed or have a waxing agent added to assist in sanding....

Basically the hood is all fiberglass,it just has a CF skin that is covered by basically resin.
the interior would be the best place to start as you know once it is repaired it gets painted black.
for the exterior which is gelcoat,a type of resin you can work it as well, you need a resin to repair it that does not yellow.....
here is a place to call and order the resins you will need.......
http://www.fiberglasssupply.com/
this is the place to buy any and all materials you will need including CF for other projects, they are super helpful, they know their products and take phone calls.
If you were to tell them you are fixing a CF hood and need the right resin to fix crack in the surface that will not yellow they will get you the right product.
All in all once the cracks are good it is a matter of gettign surface smooth and clean for clear coat......I have seen cracks in CF and fiberglass repaired to the point you could never find the damage,I am not good enough to do it yet but hope to be.....lol

also the resins they have at that store are for CF and making the surface clear and not yellowed liek other resins do.......
If damage is only on under side of hood you can use regular autobody resin and cat hair,a type of cloth.

BZinn, he does not have any surface damage on his hood, i saw it in person, the damage is the front underside, just above the top grille, its a straight crack where the CF and fiberglass shell separated, the top is perfect, he just needs to fix the bottom side
but thanks for that website, seems like a great place
