Car accident dilemma (FLEA)
Last night around 9:45 I was coming home from school and getting something to eat. I was side swiped by another vehicle and the damage is pretty extensive. Going to need a new front bumper, passenger side skirt, passenger front fender, door, and side view mirror. What sucks is that I was literally 40 feet away from my parking spot when this happened. Should I take the car to a body shop and pay the deductible ($1000) or take it to one of their recommended drive through adjusters and get a check cut for the damages. I was planning on repainting my car anyway. Kind of tempted to do it myself.
Pictures below, let me know what you think. The downside to me fixing it is this....no more painting for anyone until my car is complete (no exceptions). The people who I am currently painting stuff for, I will do everything I possibly can to finish and ship out your items. I get to walk everywhere now...yay!

first of all that sucks
second why would you go through your insurance, they hit you right?
so go through theres avoid the deductible and your rate going up
and if your planning on doing this yourself i say go for it
i was hit and run and i told my insurance to give me the check i got the parts here and there and painted and came out saving my deductible and like a 100bucks in my pocket but hey 100 bucks is a 100 bucks
but your door remember the glass has to be switched to the new door and all the mechanism and what not

omg bro im so sorry that happened. But if its not your fault then you wont need to pay a penny. Also does your insurance allow you to receive a rental car? I believe most insurance companies would allow you to receive a rental car for up to one month.

Have their (other persons) insurance adjuster come out and take a look at it, then they will cut you a check for the amount of damage thats been done. You take that and buy yourself what you need to replace, and set yourself up with a custom color.
Keep the top part FM and do the bottom something else IMO, since you wanted twotone
