Carbon Fiber Wing
#24
I like it, this wing is likely to make it to the rear of my TC very shortly. I was able to spend 3 days at SEMA to review all the current kits and body accessories. The wing is low across the rear hatch compared to other wings ready for take off being sold on the market. In person the wing does not look out of place, it can and does make a nice addition to the TC. When I look at the TC it just seems natural that a factory lip, pedestal spoiler, wing or something would be nice there. To many others nothing at all, this is what makes the TC so appealing to all. If it works for you then go for it.

That is an APR Performance Wing. I have that same one on my 91 Integra. On the Integra it looks good, but there is another carbon wing I am running on my tC. It is supposed to be here any day and it fits the tC better, IMO. The APR stuff is really good though, I have known those guys for a long time. And just so you know dont pay anywhere near $650.00 for it. I get APR all day for cheap. That wing is the GTC-200 Drag Wing. They used the round ugly side plates on that H&R car. As far as down force, that only starts to apply at high speeds, like about 100mph. My Integra was just as fast after I put that wing on. Its not too high, and looks good with a carbon hood and hatch.

I think it looks like crap. I don't want to get jumped on for giving my opinion, though, so let me explain why it looks like crap in excruciating detail:
1. It doesn't match any part of the tC in color, not even a BSP tC.
2. It doesn't go along with the tC's body lines or contours at all.
3. It has unpainted silver screws on the side which don't match the rest of the spoiler itself.
4. It hangs off the back edge of the car.
5. It looks cheap, yet costs more money than a real spoiler.
6. It will make your car look like a mid-90s Civic.
P.S. "Color" must be an adjective, because I indirectly used it to describe something else.

LOL, dont quit your day job. We sell a whole heap of ugly and useless parts in this industry, and we got more shops going out of business than ever! Back to the person who started this thread tho, get what you want. It's actually I nice quality wing and I used to get compliments on it all the time on my teg. But for the record I do agree it doesnt fit the tC as well. But if you like it, go for it!

that RWD FWD Debate on downforce is getting a bit tiresome.
But Duston is correct.
But when you say "speeds over 100mph" that is half true. even at freeway speeds.
But if you run a FWD car with a Spoiler, a functional one... You should also add a front splitter. the splitter will equalize the front end pressure .
Increase the pressuse or lack of pressure... By adding a rear diffuser.
Even at freeway speeds you will feel the changes.
