By the time you deal with shipping and whatnot on eBay, it will probably only be a couple dollars less than going to get one directly from your Honda dealer- plus going to the dealer gives you instant gratification ;)

I paid $18... at an Acura dealer in Austin, Texas. The s2000 antenna is used on the Element and MDX, too.

Those don't look like the OEM honda ones though. I may be looking at the wrong thing, but they look like those mangowalk ones.

Yes, but to prevent theft, I know some poeple are putting (I think its called thread lock) pretty much you put glue on the threads of the antenna and screwing it in. It makes it extremely hard to take off if not impossible

This is the cheapest I've found a S2K Antenna.

http://www.handa-accessories.com/s2000-04.html

Just scroll down a bit. Price is pretty good considering my local Honda dealer wants
$34.95!? for one! An Element Antenna will work also.

Aside from the modification, will it improve reception or will it remain the same?

the reception will either improve or stay the same, I have not heard of the reception getting worse. (this is only talking about the honda antenna)

personnally I believe it improved my reception. on my way to work the station I listen to would break up, now it doesn't.

and yea i thread locked mine ASAP. these things seem to be popular. also remember "a dab will do ya".

and i was able to get mine for $15 shipped from our private party classifieds.
