Default chrome grill outline

if i take out the chrome grill outline and paint it with red high temp spray paint do you think it will come out right? or should i try to find one off a wrecked car and test it first?

What do you mean by "come out right?" If you're asking about how the paint will look, that's a matter of your skill with a rattle can and of personal opinion regarding red trim.

The process would be cake:

remove grille
remove trim from grille
prep
spray
clear coat
reinstall

This guy posted a few days ago with his just like how you want yours.

To quote a reply to it:
i'm not diggin the ***** red lipstick on your grill.
I agree it's a bit off. I had an idea very similar to this. I painted part of mine red (i'll post pics later) so that it's subtle but there.

*Edit - Pictures Promised

Velocity, I really like the partial red trim. Looks better to me than having the entire trim piece red.

Thanks guys for the props.

The hood thing is done with 2 pictures in the same position (with tripod) and are photoshopped together. If you know photoshop (like me ) it's really very easy.

for the clear hood

all you do is take 2 pix one with hood open and one with hood closed then you just PS it together =)

as for the red trim..
go any pix of it from a distance? i was thinking about doing mine black depending on how the red looks i have a couple cans of red left from my matrix have the black/red theme it had
