Clay bar your car too much? you kidding I do it every 2 weeks, and my paint is spectacular.

hah nice okay looks like I'll be buying some soon. I just thought it was like that becasue I heard somewhere that it makes your paint look so good because it scrapes off a very fine layer of the paint so that it is evened out, but I guess that cant be true lol

I've never tried clay bar but I finally tried polishing compound about four weeks ago. Turtle Wax Polishing Compound in a white can. Worked quite well and my car looks like I just bought the car. And last week I tried out waxing (NXT) in a line motion. Today I spilled gas onto the car. And I cleaned it off all of sudden that spot looks like I just waxed it yesterday. My car is DIRTY!!!

fine layer of paint? I dont think so because the clay bar is taking the contaminants off the top layer its not smoothing out the paint it just taking particles off that other stuff might not be able to get. Like road tar picks that right off, you might have to go over it twice but it will come off.. Do that then put some NXT on there and it looks like glass and sooo smooth.

Buddy of mine at work told me to try polishing. Cause the shine is unbelievable. So I pick up this polishing compound. http://www.turtlewax.com/main.taf?p=2,1,4,14

I treated it like wax (Big oops!) for some strange reason I kept getting this dull spot reappearing on my driver’s door. Then I used some common sense and read the directions. “So rub lightly, ahhh!” Used a micro-fiber towel and lightly rubbed it off. Didn’t reappear. Also when using this product use a forward and back motion.

I was reading up on Turtle Wax’s site. This stuff is okay to use on new cars but should only be used for scratches. Cause it’s attended for older cars.

Odd thing is my car has better shine to it; BETTER THAN the SHOWROOM. I’ve used NXT before and I never gotten this shine before also the shine doesn’t fade out. I’ve also read online; use a forward and back motion; don’t use the circular? I also did that last time.

So I don’t know????

I want my scratches to go away!! Used scratch paste, didn’t work. Used this stuff, didn’t work.
