Default DDM HID Kit

Looking for some input on this kit as I'm planning to get one soon. Out of the Apexcone Raptor Kit and the Slim ballast kit, would you recommend one over the other? Also, I'm still deciding between 5000k and 6000k. A blue hint would be cool, but I'd rather it not be too blue to where it sticks out on the highway from your average HIDs. On the website 5000k looks pure white and 6000k has a good amount of blue in it. Pictures can be deceiving though, so can anyone with a 5000k or 6000k kit give some input? Does the 6000k have too much blue or just enough?

edit: 35w~

I have the 35w 6000k and personally i think its perfect.
It just has the slight hint of blue, not a full beam of blue.

I have the DDM slim 55w 5000k. Very discreet, very bright, and very white. I love it.

Yeah, that's what I want to get for mine. I love the discreet part because 5000k is better than halogens, yet doesn't do the bluish stuff that may cause suspicion.

Do you by chance have a pic? I'd LOVE to see it prior to purchase.

Ok, I have the 2009 headlights and 9006 factory headlight wiring. I got the ECS adapter from 9006 to H11 but it's not meant to run HID's. So, can DDM sell a kit w/ 55W, 5000k, with a 9006 connection and H11 bulbs?

One buddy of mine got a 5K kit for his Volvo. It looked really straight up white, no blue no yellow just white, my other buddy got 8K for his Jeep, a little bit blue still not TOO bad. I don't have the DDM kit but I have 6k on my tC and it's mostly white with just a hint of blue.

Why not take the adapter off and run a regular kit with the 9006 bulb?

9006 bulb won't fit an H11 projector will it? If it does, that's news to me and therefor no more problems.
I upgraded from 2006 heads to 2009 retrofitted heads.

Straight up White is pretty decent wouldn't you say? You're not that crappy yellowish stock look, but you're not "pull me over popo" blue either.

First off, are you running the actual headlights from the 08's and up or other style projectors?
What bulb are you running now?
h11? why not get the h11 kit?
9006? why not get the 9006 kit?

the kit comes in basically all bulbs....get the correct bulb....and maybe 35w

Yeah, it's kind of confusing. I'll explain my setup:

I have a 2006 tC which had OEM headlights with bulb size 9006. I purchased 2009 tC OEM headlights and retrofitted them (I kept the OEM H11 projectors). So now my tC has factory 9006 bulb wiring harness but H11 bulb size projectors. To be able to use H11 bulbs, I purchased this adapter which turns your 9006 bulb socket into an H11 bulb socket:

Now, here's my dilemma. The above adapter wasn't meant for HID kits, halogens only. So I need a DDM kit with a 9006 bulb socket so it fits the harness, but H11 bulbs so they fit the OEM projectors.

I could just get an H11 DDM HID kit and hope the adapter can hold the 55W....

Keep this harness you have and get the H11 bulbs. There's no "dilemma" here, it will work just fine.
