So that adapter harness will take the 55W kit? Sweet. Well, now I just have to wait until they're back in stock. Oh, what 55W kit would you get to equal the look of 35W 5000K aka straight up white, lol. I'm guessing 5000k or 6000k?

I just stay with the 35w kits. I've never been able to tell a difference in the 35 vs 55 as far as output. In theory the color should all stay the same, just be brighter.

My local friend is currently going through sending his back from HIDExtra. I helped in on install and it was flawless, but the driver side bulb went out after a couple weeks.

Umm, how is the important to this thread? It's not.

I've had DDM HID's in this car and my WRX. 4 years in total of owning, never had one single problem with "flickering" or any other b.s. problem. Please, do not spread crap.

^ Word up!

Ok, so back to topic.

I think since the output of the 35W is just fine and MILES ahead of any halogen bulb you can get...I should be pretty solid with 35W 5000K in H11 to run on my adapter to the factory wiring.

SO sucks I can't get these before Scion Night.

Hey MooSe55, I see you're in Seattle. Is there a good Scion community there? I applied for a job there and am awaiting results after my interview 3 weeks back. PM me bro.

Sorry for the off topic there. So does anyone have these HID's in their High beams as well as Low beams?

I replied to this thread while having multiple tabs open. That explains why it seems out of context. I meant to reply here:

I've never owned a set of DDM HIDs, and wasn't pertaining to them as a poor product. I chose HIDextra because they're a vendor here, have good reviews on other forums, and customer service is important should an issue arise. Hearing more positive feedback on DDM's products makes me want to order a set of 35w slim ballast 3000K for my fogs.

Here's to our HIDs arriving promptly, and working flawlessly.

As far as I know, 55W is 40% brighter than 35W.

Straight up white does look good. It's really whatever you're feelin. My buddy was feelin straight up white and that's what he got. He's happy with it and that's all that matters. I wanted a slight blue hue and that's what I got. But yeah. If u want just straight up white 5K the way to go. and yeah. Get 9006 ballasts and H11 bulbs. Plugs are the same between bulbs and ballast.

Ok, so how do you order this from DDM because on their site, you choose Wattage, Kelvin, and Bulb Size.

I have a 55W 6K DDM H4 kit in my XD, Both sides have equal firing issues / same problem. I feel it is in their harness / the relay box that came with it and of course it is wired correctly I feel the setup is not getting enough current at startup and may try an aftermarket relay harness. I have also read about this exact same issue on probably 50 other threads on other forums with these kits so it is not just me.

Other than that, The components are very nice / quality. The motors on the H4 bulbs that move the bulbs for high and low do so instantly and without issue. And the price was insane LOW! Light is beautiful and intense. I marked off the factory cutoffs on my garage door and the new cutoffs with HID's were only a few inches higher which I adjusted slightly lower than stock.

Once I get the firing issue fixed, I would say these are the bargain of a lifetime. Also to note, my 6K are a crisp white with just a tiny hint of blue which is the perfect match between looks and not being cop bait.
