hi guys!i got a newb question..whats the difference in a 9005 and 9006 bulb?

9006 == low beam
9005 == high beam. just different size/type of bulbs

they also have different connectors so you can't plug them into the wrong connector socket. but some people snip the little teeth and such that prevent improper insertion because 9005 bulbs are higher wattage (brigther) and don't have a cover on the tip blocking some of theit output. so they get brighter low beams.

Yeah, the 9005 to 9006 mod is the only way to go. I'm running four 9005 Nokya Arctic Whites. I tried the Silverstars at first, but I prefer the bulbs I have now.

any one have any issues with over heating? i put after market bulbs in both my tc's and on my one tc the bulb burned out and i go to change it and the wiring melte inside the connector . but since i got them at my dealer the fixed it under warranty. I havent checked my other tc yet
