Default A different kind of convex side mirror..sorta (pics)

I was getting kinda tired of the glare of headlights blasting at my eyes while driving on the freeway at night. I like most enjoy the look of a nice lowered tc, which in doing so makes our cars at a lower ride hieght than most. So rather than me shelling out some money (Im cheap) for convex blue mirrors I thought that there was another idea a little older on the fords and mercurys. They used a orangish type tint on their mirrors to reduce the glare. So I thought why not try it on mine. I do have the whole orange thing going on with my car so the orange I thought worked. Well here are the results.

Surprisingly it actually works. The glare is minimal and obviously works better when the distance is greater.

Actually it isnt that bad. At night it is even better. Its kinda cool because at the right angle outside the car it looks like the mirror is a non transparent orange.

I just bought the convex side mirrors from tweeked ice and all i have to say they are great. the blue tint to them not only stops glare but so does the convex of the mirror. I have both the blue convex 270mm rear view mirror and side view mirrors and have to say NO MORE BLIND SPOTS! i love it

Well theres not much to it. I used an Sikkens Automotive Clearcoat that we use at work. I just tinted it with an orange toner we had on the shelf (much like tinting lights). I just degreased the mirror. (Cant really scuff mirrored glass all to well) Taped the black edges off and cleared it.
