Duplicolor on tail covers
Hi all I have the tail covers (look at avatar) from promotiontuning.com in black or unpainted and was wondering, if I buy the duplicolor effex in black, will it be a near match to my BSP? im tired of lookin at them unpainted and dont want to spend a buttload of time and money to get them painted. will it be able to work? do i have to primer it? will i need clearcoat? will it crack from the flexibility? thanks all

I painted my rear license plate bolts with high gloss black paint and then put on two layers of duplicolor clear effects, they match my BSP real well now.
I say go for it, but I would suggest the clear effects instead of the black version so that you can multiply the sparkle effect until you are satisfied.

im not sure if im going to do it yet... yes, i see where the rice comes in, but how do you think it'll come out with some patience and some time to go back and sand all my mistakes, then paint again and clear coat?? im pretty confident in doing it if i can get it to stay still.. but is the primer then black gloss then the effex then clear my best bet?

You can buy factory colors in a spray can here:

That, I think, would give you a better match than using DupliColor paint.

kinda, i painted little models of cars by airbrushing... and the sides of my rear emblem, and i primered a ricey hood scoop for my friend, the only prob i have is the whole dictance thing... other than that i get my coats really even.
