Default eyelids - vinyl vs. ?

so i am looking into getting eyelids for my 07sw tc, and i am stuck between the vinyl and the other type of eyelids.

from experience, which one looks better?

and what does everybody recommend?

depending on the color of your car, vinyl eyelids may or may not be the best way to go.

pros for vinyl:
-removable
-easy to install
-inexpensive
-perfectly flat on headlight surface

cons for vinyl:
-depending on paint there may not be an EXACT color match. close but not exact.

a fiberglass or plastic eyelid almost always comes unpainted from the manufacturer.

pros for plastic or fiberglass:
-if painted, will be exact color match
-more durable than vinyl

cons for plastic or fiberglass:
-ive seen some eyelids that dont copletely conform to the curve of the headlight and stick up in some spots
-rock chips in the paint
-more expensive
-come unpainted
-possibility of having to get them repainted.

check the link in my sig. BlueBatmobile sells vinyl overlays and is a trusted vendor on these boards.

^what he said. lol
pretty much covered it all.

but since you have a SW, vinyls from bluebat will be fine, they match perfectly.

check out my pic thread (link in my sig) and youll see.

Like everyone said, with a simple color like SW just go with vinyl. It matches perfectly.

Fiberglass eyelids are removable, and of course they will be the best colormatch (or however good the shop you have match them is) and they are the most durable.

I've used both, and my favorite is fiberglass because they match my car perfectly. The vinyls I got from bluebat didn't match the flintmica as good as i'd like, but for vinyl they were damn close.

IMO, for colors like CSM, possibly SSM, SW, and BSP vinyls can be used and you can get away with them. All of the other colors, i'd get fiberglass.

One more thing, fiberglass ones are transferable... as in, you might spend $60 + paint or whatever on them as apposed to 30-40(forget) for vinyls but when you get tired of them you can make at least 50% back when you sell them. Vinyls are one-time-only.

the only thing thats going to fade the vinyl is the sun and even then, im pretty sure bluebat uses a vinyl that is fairly fade resistant

Possibly.......only on request. I know it's not mature to voice my opinion on here, but I have customers that say..."take your time, make it look good"; others that say "take your time....5 minutes later it's, are you done yet?"

i have a question. Where can i find eyelids that make the eyelids that make curve down toward the inside to make it have a sharper look! I've been looking so hard to find them.
