the pedestal spoiler looks good from the side, but it doesn't look right when viewing from the back. i wish it was wider and extends to the full width of the car, instead of the width of the trunk.

I wish there was a spoiler that used the same mounting holes as stock so I could replace this. I hate it, but it was the only RS 1.0 they had.

When I picked up my car it had the pedistal spoiler on it, and I did not order it, so it was either wait 2+ months for another car or take it. But it's okay I think it looks good in silver, in the other colors it looks too big and heavy.

^^
I think the ped.spoiler pretty much grows on people. Pretty much like your situtation. If the wait time was the same and that car was not on the lot, I doubt you would have ordered it since you already said you didn't.

That pedestal spoiler is from the Celica. They just took it off the back and put it on the tC.

sorry for the revival but... while reading lots of post on spoilers, I've seen statements like this a lot... spoilers aren't just for looks.... nor, as some others say, are they jsut for downforce which people say is useless on a FWD car.... a decklid spoiler can also reduce the overall drag coefficient on a vehicle... not always by a lot but it can make a difference... I haven't found any info on what efffect the SCION OEM spoilers may have but it could be a benefit... for instance (and some of you will hate this) the new Si (which I abhor) has a functional decklid spoiler, meaning it reduces the aerodynamic drag on the car.... doesn't look like much but it works... I wouldn't be surprised if the tC pedestal spoiler had a similar effect...

imo the kaminari spoiler is too much spoiler. the rest of it though, greatness, if all goes well I will have the hood and most likely the whole 4pc. (looking for buyer for the 4pc, anyone interested?)

I like the pedestal spolier 100% better then the lip one, you can hardly tell its there and doesnt look well IMO
the V Style Spoiler from Viniati its ok looking but it lays over the whole trunk basically and I dont like that (upset at Viniati customer service ATM STILL waiting on my antenna )

If you get the Kaminari spoiler you definitly need the kit to go with it. Its to agressive of a spoiler to just sit alone.

I got the spoiler, and I'm not a big spoiler guy - sans anything from 1966-1970.
It looks nice - when I see one without it now, it seems naked to me.

I don't like the pedistal spoiler at all. However, I love the lip. I wish I would have had it installed when I bought my car, but oh well. I will break down and buy it one of these days. The tC looks too plain with nothing on the back and the pedistal "wing" is too much for my tastes. The lip is very subtle but still makes a noticable change to the lines of the rear of the car.

I love the pedistal spoiler, but only on tc's that have the factory ground effects kit. I think without that it looks out of place. The lip spoiler.... well you know what they say about small feet... same goes for that spoiler....

what looks so sweet is the tC with the low profile lip spoiler along with the s2000 antenna. the stock tC antenna is hideous and along with the pedestal spoiler attached to the car makes the car look so stupid.

anyone agree with me?

i am sure many of you guys and
gals out there like it though.

yes - that is true. It makes a big difference in the overall balance of the car's look.
If the "lip" were twice as big, I'd have maybe gone that way, but as it is, it's too subtle to be effective - IMO only.
