Default Halo Automotive Headlight Bulbs

Hey

Tried searching for this but got nothing.

Curious if anyone has/had these bulbs.

http://www.amazon.com/Halo-Automotiv...N%3DB002GZ6SUS

http://www.amazon.com/Halo-Automotiv...4646107&sr=1-1

Hard searching for reviews on these since the name halo but most of the reviews I did find were good. I was hoping to see some pictures of these maybe to compare.

This is from years ago, but it might help you out. I think they're the same ones as you're looking at.

Suggestion though - Instead of buying these, just save your money and get HIDs. I've had HIDs for the past couple of years and when I drive any other car with non-HIDs at night, I'm always double checking to see if the headlights are on. Lol.

Was there supposed to be a picture in your post, don't see it.
Yeah, HID is always an option. but I'm so confused with the whole HID situation since I have an 07 and I keep reading about how you need projectors or something. So I thought it would cost way more than just the HID kit.

You can get HID's for your 07 headlights, just that it'll glare everywhere. And don't get those bulbs, the visibility was worse than stock in my old xD.

Yeah that was the thing. That's why I would need projector headlights and would just skyrocket the total cost to put HID in my car. Do you recommend any other type of bulb? I wish I could see it too before I bought it.

There are bulbs by Phillips that are really good, I just can't recall their name right now. Anything that doesn't have a colored lens will be fine. The coloring on the lens only take away from your actual visibility. Here are some really good reads to understand HIDs vs. Halogens.

The reduced visibility can't be THAT bad. I'll take a look at the phillips. How's the lifespan on them. I know that the sylvannia's are crap in life span. I heard that the HALO brand was decent in it. But HIDs might be something that I look into down the road when I get a little more money.

Yeah, it won't be very major, but I assume you're looking for the maximum visibility out of halogen bulbs. Look into Sylvania silverstar ultras.

I'm actually looking into longevity and looks over visibility(but doesn't mean visibility is not important!) haha.
But I heard nothing but dead bulbs after a couple of months from silverstars.
Looking into the phillips now they seem pretty legit. the CrystalVision Ultra bulbs.

^ Yeah, those are them. What you can do is get the 08-10 tC headlights, then get an HID kit for that. It's not the brightest setup, but it'll give you the "look" you're going for, and you won't be blinding every other person on the road.

Yeah that's what I'm talking about. The 08+ headlights and then getting the kit. Would you happen to know off the top of your head how much the headlights go for? Gotta be at least 100 I'm guessing. + Another hundred for the HID kit. I know they're 100x better than the bulbs but I guess the bulbs will do for now.

08 headlights are $200 + shipping each, from TRDSparks.com. You can try finding a used set, or finding them one by one on eBay. For the HID kit, I have a DDM tuning kit on my Civic and I'm very happy with the quality. Their kits are only ~50

Alright, well I decided I'm going to get bulbs until I can get money and find a set of headlights.

I'm settled on the phillips bulbs here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Phili...ht_2100wt_1165

Seems legit and the bulbs seem better than the HALO brand I listed above. Approve/Deny?
