Default Headlight sealant

Just wondering if anyone knows where to buy the same product used to seal the factory headlights, or at least a similar product. I've opened the headlights so many times that I am running out of sealant, and apparently one of them didn't properly reseal the last time. I need to add some more sealant, but I don't really want to mix silicone with the sealant which is already there. I would like something with the same properties as the current sealant, so that I may open the headlights again in the future if necessary. Ideally, just the same product. Anyone know what it is?

Go get you some RTV Silicone from Autozone or somewhere... Get the clear. That stuff works great!

Is it heat-activated like the current stuff?

Silicone is not the same. Silicone is heat resistant.

Yeah that RTV clear is awesome. It doesn't look as bad as the factory gray when you pop the hood!

That's what I was thinking. If the headlights were sealed with silicone then it would be impossible to get them open again later, right?

Not really. I don't have one, nor do I wish to buy one. Hoping to find a sealant just like the one the factory uses.

this is pretty easy........call up a local autobody shop.....as them where they get their supplies from.......there is always a local supply shop..........for instance I live in Tacoma Wa.....the nearest supply store is 4 miles from my house.........they also have all the door and panel pins......high grit sandpaper....polish.....buffers.......body tools........port a power.......spitzenagls......lead bars.....everything.....and every other tool known to man once you find the local shop tell them you need to seal your headlights and need the heat activated sealer........they have it or can get it......stuff is like $10 a tube.......and it is grey like stock........more commonly used to seal up body panels in trunks and firewalls........
