So I got the 8000ks temporarily installed in my new 09 housing because he was out of the 6000ks. I don't like them at all. Way too blue, and my eyes starting hurting instantly. I can actually see LESS than when I had my "slightly better than stock" bulbs. So he's putting the 6000ks in on wednesday 12/23.

Also since i've never had HIDs before i'm SO paranoid im blinding people. Once they were installed I was like "holy cow, the street is really lit up" and I see this "cutoff" thing i've never seen before on my stock 07 headlights. The cutoff kind of makes me feel a bit better about things though because it looks like the cutoff is below the car in front of me's back window, so I don't think i'm blinding people from behind. I have no idea what people coming at me on the freeway are seeing or thinking about them. I wish there was a way I could find out what other people are seeing, i don't have any friends I can drive towards to test haha. I just don't want to be pulled over, or some guy to come over to my car and beat the crap out of me for blinding him.

I passed by a cop on the way home, had a minor panic attack, but he didn't even come after me. Musta not blinded him and he must've not cared how blue they really are! haha

I'd go with 6k. Although, I heard somewhere that projectors tend to make the light more blue when you're looking at it from the outside? dunno if that's true or not.

Its the other way around, porjectos make the light look more white. I had 8000ks on my 05-07 headlights and they looked way bluer then my 8000ks on my 08 OEM projectors.

are you guys using 9006's? I see some people saying H11's and stuff.
What is a good price for a nice HID kit. The two sites in this thread say between 70 and $80. And other sites say over $100. I want my purchase to last a few years atleast....

I believe they're around $75, but any purchase over $50 is FREE SHIPPING.

Yea i Have it bookmarked because 50 people must have said HIDExtra. I look forward to my purchase. I am currently searching for the need of any extra relays and what not. I have gotten the HID crave just within the last week, so my knowledge is low.
I suppose $75 is a good price.
