Default HID Ballast is out, who can I give my money to?

Owned my 2006 tC for 3 years now and the last owner had Techone HIDs in place. Immediately after turning my headlights on, one of the bulbs flickers twice before shutting completely off, and never returns on. I'm assuming this is a ballast issue?

I don't know ____ about HIDs or lighting, so what are some good options? I don't want to spend a ton, but I want a quality product that will last and look clean.

Are there any DIYs on HID installation? I'm assuming an install on existing aftermarkets will require additional tweaking, but any info is appreciated.

Swap bulbs from one side to another. If the problem follows the bulb, its the bulb. If not, it's the ballast

DDM is the best for the buck, as well as the best customer service if it ever goes out (From personal experience with my own, as well as 3 other friends who have purchased them).

That's assuming that your ballast really IS out.

DDM is great, but their shipping takes forever. Took me 3 weeks to get mine from China. If you have the patience, go for DDM.

i stand by mod-express, 45 for full slim ballast, and their 5k color is a really nice white. Their bulbs feel so much better in quality than HID extra

If it's not OEM, then anything on ebay will work fine.

Here's a few OEM's just to list:

Matsu____a (Panasonic....i think)
Phillips
Denso (Koito)

Then Xentec ones on ebay are good, I ran those on my tC for over a year before i had a bulb blow(I had another companies bulbs). I now have HID Extra now and they are an awesome company to deal with. They were great when I had issues.

you gotta be kidding me.. xentec is the worst crap available. my first and last HID kit from that brand. mod-express is the way to go. customer service is good and shipping is not long.

I had good luck with them, I guess I got a good batch? I had the DDM tuning ones and they sucked. I love my HID Extra. I didn't know about mod-express I bought the HID Extra because they are cheap and I didn't have the money for Meng Motorsport waterproof ballasts.
