I've passed by numerous on coming automobiles with headlights not made for HID and I'm not blinded by glare at all (i'm sure some of you can agree). Even on on-coming tCs that have HIDs in the reflector housing don't blind me (in front of or behind). The only time I'm blinded is when those lifted trucks have HIDs.

Im lowered so almost every car that drives behind me glares...especially ones with HID kits in reflector housings. its not a big issue, but sometimes it gets annoying. oncoming traffic with HID is blinding with reflectors to me...but ehh, just deal with it for a few secs every now and then. not a big deal.

With-out a projector housing, you will get what I get (picture with the hot spots). A projector will get you the second picture. You can't get the cutoff look with-out projectors. Personally i don't like the look of projectors. I know i know I'm weird. lol. imo if you do the halogen housing thing right it'll be okay. Ideally you want projectors but if you make sure to aim your lights down and make sure you're not seriously blinding people with ur hids, i say you're good to go.

Its not that bad I have yet to be flashed. But there isnt a clean cutoff as 08-09 projectors or a retro, but there is def an improvement in visibility.

Yeah its great... I meant stock 05-07 cutoff isnt as clean as retro's or the OEM 08-09 projectors.

Do 08-09 tC projectors plug right into an '05 tC? Or are there modifications needed?

The dealership around here told me it's not a clean swap, but these are the same retards to who told me the 05 tC RKEs are the same as the xAs...

If your intention is to run HID, the swap is easy. If you wanted to swap and keep running halogen bulbs the only issue would be changing out the female ends of your bulb wiring from 9006 to H11. If your going to run HID, just use a relay kit that will trigger off of the 9006 plug and get the H11 retro HID's.

While your at it, does anyone have images of HIDs in the 08-09 projector housings?

Are the projector housings in the 08-09 Scion's the same that Toyota uses in the Lexus models? Or are they of lesser quality?

*edit* I know there are pics of projector housings in this thread, but aren't these retros?
