Default hids vs halos

hey so my friend knows a guy who is selling halos for my tc headlights. and i got a few questions:

whats the main difference between halos and hids?

the guy is selling me either 5000k , 8000k or 9000k. which one would be the best? i dont wanna blind people but i want it to be white or even a hint of blue.

are these bright at night? or will they just be a different color? because i know hids are supposed to be bright but im not sure about halos.

also, am i getting a good deal? its gonna be $40 total with installation

btw i used the search function but didnt find anythin so dont bomb me on that

thanks in advance!

halos are the circle that goes around the projector or reflector housing whatever the case maybe. They light up but dont put out any usable light, they are just for looks.

example of halo,

HIDs are bulbs and a ballast that replace the stock bulbs.

there's nothing to compare between the two, hell they can't be compared. HIDs are basically headlight bulbs (high intensity discharge lamps) that help you see at night. Halo's are just circle LED/Lights that go in your headlights that are JUST for looks and serve no purpose for light output.

and as far as what kelvin you want anything after 6000k is pointless, ricer & obnoxious where it becomes a disgusting blue. out of those 3 choices id go with 5k bc there white and close to "oem" lexus, acura etc.

I personally have 4300k's for my headlights. best light output.

110 is a lot for HIDs there easy as hell to install all plug and play.

site sponsors on here sell them anywhere between 50-100 bucks shipped, and you don't need anyone to install them its soo easy
