HOW TO Install: "JDM" eBay Fog Lights
How to install the "JDM" (yeah I know...) eBay fogs:
Always disconnect positive battery terminal before attempting any electrical mods
Time: 30 minutes
Do the fogs turn on with parking lights? Yes
Stay on with lo beams? Yes
Stay on with hi beams? Yes
Can you turn them off anytime with the switch? Yes
1. Connect all the supplied wires to make sure you have everything you need. Everything should connect together: fog light harness, relay harness, and switch harness. You should have a switch with 2 wires (black and red), black and red ground wires to the battery, and plugs to the left (shorter) and right fogs left over.

2. Jack up the car and remove the front wheels. Remove screws for wheel well liner and peel back the liner.
3. Pop out the vent grilles. Place fog light in vent, insert backing through wheel well and screw together. Do the same for the other side.
4. Connect all the wires and feed the black wire with silver tip through firewall.
5. Now you are ready to connect the switch to the fuse box, like so:
a. open the fuse box and reach up and pop out the switch panel, it pushes right out. Pop in the fog light switch.
b. find the harness and push on the black button to release...it takes a bit of wiggling to get out.
c. find the 3 brown wires. You will have to cut back some of the tape. I first tried the brown wire with 1 silver spot of paint but it didn't work. brown with the 3 silver spots works..I dunno what the other one does. You do not have to cut the wire, just use a t-tap.
(I made a mistake by tapping into the big red wire thinking it was always hot, but it only let the fogs go on/off with the headlights, you can see the black electrical tape in pic.)
d. Here's where I put the black ground wire:
e. Now connect the black wire with silver tip to the wire coming through the firewall. Snap the switch panel back on.
6. Connect the red and black wires to battery. Connect positive terminal to battery. Test the lights with parking lights, lows, highs, and the switch.

good writeup, definitly do not need to remove tires/jack up car though.
Do you think it's as much of a pain to replac e the bulbs as it looks? I thought about it before the install but it looked damn near impossible.

would be sweet to get a DIY for this but for VRD fogs (the wiring looks different than your pics), i hate how i can't turn mine on by themselves.. they only come on with the headlights for the moment.

H3 bulbs are not that hard to take out. I think there are two screws holding down the pin, take out the pin and put the new bulbs in. I replaced the ones that came with the fogs with PIAA yellow bulbs, it was very easy. Just take a picture of how the pin is supposed to be placed before so you know how to put it back on. When I get an HID kit for these, I will definitely post up pics on replacing the bulbs.
