Default How much to replace Driver's Side Door?

So I got into an accident. messed up my driver's side door and i don't think it's repairable since it has to do with the edges being bent/scraped and the hinges bent.

Anyway, anyone know how much it will be to replace a Driver's Side Door? i wish to replace the interior trim panels as well since they were scraped up a bit as well.

Did you ever see "Tommy Boy"?

"Holy Schnikes!"

Just start making calls. (Dealerships, junkyards, etc.) I'm sure it ain't going to be cheap.

Why not go through insurance? Anyway, junkyards would be the cheapest, but it'll cost you time. If you have the money, your friendly neighborhood dealership is the one to go to.

well one good thing can come out of this... make it a lesson well learned to not back up with your door open... it may be a $1000 dollar lesson, btw...

look for a good body shop, get qoutes and deals, ask friends..

I had mine repaired at below 250 bucks, I had the door pushed inward and im not able to open it all the way, the window not closing, the sides & interior bent... paint total mess. If the black pillar (on the top, next to the glass, watever its called) is damaged, there might be prob, mine wasnt fixed... they said got to get a new part

replacing your whole door is expensive, because it has to be painted, it also has stuff like your power locks, windows and so on, paint to match.

but from the pictures, it doesn't look unrepairable. i'm no expert at body repair, but why not get new hinges and have any dents flexed out and straithened and repainted. new wraps for the b pillar part.

but no, your not going to find alot of people who have just replaced a whole door. seems kinda well...something only a special person would do.

I think its repairable, we had the same accident, mine is a lot worst than that.. I think it was like 550 from a known body shop when i had the estimate..

(draxcaliber- new wraps for the b pillar part)
- do you know where to get them? mine was just straightened out but scratches and small dent still there

you can also check out craigslist.org, and try to find someone selling off parts. A whole door shouldn't cost more than $100 picked up.

www.trdsparks.com has a whole collision repair parts list if you want to repair and replace stuff on a Toyota.

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...ke=37&model=tC

Looks expensive for just door shell even.

draxcaliber THANKSSSS!!! this saved me a lot of time and possibly a good amount of money...

so i went to a referred body shop....they quoted me at $2600 to replace the door shell, door trim, and some minor detailing. kind of pricey but the parts alone will cost about 1300. i'm thinking of just ordering the parts off of this website and having my shop do the rest since it will save me about $300 for parts alone.

Is it easy to replace the inner door trim? I'm thinking of just buying it myself and installing...

wow thats a lot 2600 for all those..yea this will save you a lot. But from how I see your pic I dont think you need a to buy a lot, maybe some hammering dent repair and good paint job will do.. but hopefully you'll get it fixed right, goodluck.

nice link draxcaliber.. even the clips and nuts which i needed are there :D
