How much would a 2Tone Paint job cost
For the bottom half
i want to do the bottom half in white with a red pinstripe as the divider
the top is going to stay flint mica and i have my cf hood and trunk ready to go on
for those of you who have done it how much does this usually run
and what about the down time
final question is
does anyone in Massachusetts know a good place to do this

wow...i can get my car painted for that price. most likely if you want the jams painted and everything it will run you 1500...but if you take it to maaco, or a 1 day paint and body..it will run you about 600

You're all wrong. Maaco brushes all of it's paint.
Because it's house paint.

A high quality paint job requires a *lot* of prep work, including (but not limited to) striping down the original paint, laying primer, base coat, second coat, top coat, and clear. This is assuming there is not so much as a single dent, ding, crease in your body.
If you want a mediocre paint job, or something that looks good from 10 feet away (but no so great from upclose) so be it, but if you're looking for something that you'd see "show quality" wise at Sema or NOPI, be prepared to spend *at least* 4000-5000, unless you have a very serious hook up.
If you are going to do, say, the lower bottom half, or possible a "wedge" shaped 2 tone, you're still looking at ~ 3-4K.

Either the shops in Md are 1-2 K cheaper, or their idea of a high quality paint job is not on the same level mine is.
I have a vehicle painted about once a year (I restore jeeps in my spare time), and the best I'm finding (with no body work, and me stripping off all the stuff that isn't getting painted: lights, fender flares, etc etc) is still costing me $2500. That's for a full vehicle minus engine bay, single color, and at a place that gives me a discount.
I've been quoted upwards of $4k from some places.
