Default How to remove ding from rear bumper?

So i had a nice surprise today when i walked up to my car. There is a quarter size ding in my rear bumper. Its just dented in, no paint damage. Anyone know how i can pop this dent out? Dont really feel like taking it to a pro before i try my handy work to it. Any recommendations?

You can try this, but this is at your own risk lol..

1. Remove bumper
2. Use a good hair dryer to heat up the area so that its malleable.
3. Use a flat or rounded object that contours to the basic shape of the bumper and press it from the inside against the rise so that it pushes it out some.
4. Assuming everything worked out fine, reassemble lol.

Also..if you heat it up you lessen the chances of paint cracking, hopefully.

Our rear bumpers seem very flexible so maybe if you are able to heat up that certain area so that its malleable, maybe you can get it fixed. Do it at your own risk though. I personally wouldn't do it but in the world of auto collision sometimes you can get away with doing quick DIY stuff like that.

I thought PDR techs usually only do it on sheet metal? Body lines and creases if their really good, but not plastic.
