How To Retrofit Honda S2000 HID Projector
Hi, I'm new to this forum. I had my tC retrofitted with a Honda S2000 hid projector earlier during the year. I'm very impressed. A big different between stock and oem projector. I like it alot. I never thought of posting here, but after seeing many plug-n-play hid kit, I thought it would be beneficial to those who like better result through retrofitting. I have to give credit to Nick (aka jvxdriver) who did the actual retrofit for me. Instead of posting the procedure and pictures here, I'll just post a link to his how-to site. He already done most of the writeup:

I highly recommend a retrofit if you can, especially with a s2000 projector if possible. It's worth it.

Very nice man. I like that a lot.
If you don't mind me asking, how much were all the parts for the retrofit? This has been something I've been considering doing for quite awhile now but I haven't thought about it too much. I assumed it would be too difficult, but after looking at that site I think I could probably handle it.

wow. I like your retro. the cut off is sharp and crisp. wish mine had that. only thing I wish you did was place a shroud in there. at the distance it wont be notice but up close, i might not like the way the project just sits there.
but very nice retrofit.
but very nice retrofit.

Part List:

Matsushsita Ballast: $160
Misc Parts (JB-glue, screws, Lexan sheet, alum sheet, balloon, etc): $40
The lowbeam is blackout, so I didn't have to pay for the extra shroud or bezel. I use my own existing tC headlamps. So no extra cost. Total part cost is $700.

well.. from what i've read and heard, TSX projectors are known in the retro community to be one of the better projectors out there in terms of output and cutoff...
and the fact that they're not insanely expensive and not too difficult to get is also a big plus.
but yeah... i'm the type of person that will defy that and say.. no thanks for me too.. lol.. i'll try a different route if i am able to ever afford anything....
but daymn .. those cutoffs are niiiice.

When I drive late at night with few cars on the road, I can see the beam stretches from one side to another. With the tC stiff suspension, you can literally see the beam bounces accordngly. It's incredible. It can be distractiing though, but it's so unique.
The s2k beam is amazingly wide and sharp from left to right. That about five lanes across.

Fear is what holding men (and women) from advancing But seriously, sometimes being too brave can lead to disaster and frustration. As for me, I'm not that handy or creative myself, so I relied on my friend to help me out. If you ask around, I'm sure someone can do the retro for you, for a price of course on top of that $700. Good luck if you plan to do it yourself. You'll be the first girl I know doing an hid retrofit.
