Humidity is your biggest enemy here... One reason I advocate taking the tails out, is so that you can either shoot them inside or at least let them dry in relatively controlled conditions. It can take one hour to about 5 or 6.

Soulquarian, how many cans of VHT did you use? Your car looks great. How many coats of Clearcoat did you put on? Also did you do the headlights as well or just the tails? My BSP is getting this styling as soon as possible. Thanks.

Oh! If anyone wants to buy some brand new cans of VHT Niteshades, PM me. I have 3 cans left.
How many cans did you use? Those look DARK. Also what brand/kind of clear coat? I'm thinking about redoing mine.

Well, I'm almost finished. Here's a couple of pics to entertain you...

Just need to buff them out some more. They didn't come out glossy. The first can of paint we used was glossy. We ran out before we could finish because the can is only 1/3 the size of a regular paint can. The second can (which I ordered the EXACT same thing! Or so I thought?) didn't come out glossy. That's ok though because they actually look smoked. All in all, well worth it IMO.

Mine is as shiny as the day I sprayed it. It's in constant weather and sun.

Like Reese said, perhaps that person used a different brand, but I would be willing to bet it was the way he applied it or an incompatibility with whatever he was spraying it on. There could be a lot of factors we aren't taking into consideration.

Thanks! I would argue one could undo it, but it would take a little effort. On the plus side... it would take a little effort!! Which means of course its durable, polishable, waxable, etc.

To be honest, I can't figure out why one would need or want to remove it if applied properly. I have had zero problems with law enforcement.. and if I really wanted to change to something, it would most likely be when an aftermarket light comes out anyway.

But hey, it takes different strokes to move the world and all...

is it possible to clear coat the lights and in the future tint them darker...i ran out of VHT and i dont want to have my lights out for 3 more days waiting for another can...so should i clear coat it now and then do it later, or if i clear coat it, will it be permanently sealed?

You can clear it now and just go back and sand it a little and add more nightshade and clear again. Better yet, just trow them back on now and in a few days when you get the new can respray and then clear. No reason to clear now if it's only gonna be a few days.
