have a pic with the mirror light flashing? that looks great! and thanks for clearing up the whole sanding thing.

so there is no need to sand before applying the niteshades to the lights? it will stick the the light as it is?

Don't have a pic of it lit up. But it's VHT so the light shines through just like it would without tint, not as two lines.

And no need to sand prior to painting, just make sure the tails are clean and that you've got plenty of clear on 'em.

Edit-
Now that I think about it, it couldn't hurt to scuff up the tails a bit with 2000 grit sandpaper before spraying. I just didn't do it on mine.

Yah I taped the $hit out of my car! You really dont wanna wetsand a part or pepper it w/ some VHT....So make sure u get inbetween the cracks w/ tape or well I used sheets of paper and taped them on... double up tho cause paper can leak. I personally hate 2k grit...it scratched a part of my lense (maybe i used too much force) but I just stuck w/ 1k grit and it seemed to do the trick. Use ALOT of water....

take the lights out and you have to sand before abd if you want you can before the clear (thats what i did)

Say you did not like how it came out could you rub paint thinner on it maybe to get the paint off?

Easiest way I found was to take off the rear bumper COMPLETELY. It's only 5 black clips, a tug on the bumper, and less than 7 mins. Just be sure to have a blanket around so that you can put your bumper on it after removal and not scratch it up.

Theres no way to get them out without pulling off the whole bumper?

I didn't remove the rear completely, but I did have to undo a few of the clips. There is a piece of the tailight that clips into the bumper.

^^Oops! I forgot there were a couple of bolts in the wheel well and removal of the interior plastic pieces also. You could probably just do the bolts, the plastic removal process, and the tug on the bumper. Search for the TYC install thread. It will give you great directions on the 'how to'. (Sorry, but I couldn't find the thread when I searched.)

*NEVERMIND the ()!!! I found it!!...

Paint thinner would probably remove the VHT but I think your best bet would be to purchase another set of OEM tails. That way you can take your time spraying one set and you'll also have an un-tinted set to swap in if neccessary.

I remember my parents saying those lights cost 200 each and I was like...yea from someone on crack...
but then again they all drive American Cars with lights that probably do cost that much

That's probably about what you would pay at the dealership.
