thx!
and yes its H3 bulbs. Superbrightleds arent HID bulbs, those are led kits.. u will need to buy HID kit (bulbs/relay/balllast) like ones sold by mobilehid and operatic on classified sponsor section

nice thread. sweet fogs!
just to let ya know - h3 yellows are in stock. ;) just in case you want the JDM look. these are the version 2 yellows that are made with yellow glass so the light output will be a darker yellow.

i just got my VRD fogs and 10000k hids in them
follow this link to understand how to turn the fogs on with the parking lights https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...623189#2623189
i dont know if its true for the oem fogs but the cool part is that when you turn on your high beam, the fogs cut off just like they're supposed to... now if you have hids like me that might not be a good thing because if you flash someone twice you're turning the hids on and off twice... and constant on/off of the hids harm them a tad bit.
after doing this mod... i have my angel eyez and the fogs running at night... and i felt like clearing up somethings for people who are potentially going to put hids in there VRD fogs (again i dont know if its true for the oem fogs). i drove with my hid(10000k) fogs and angel eyez back home. now, if you have hids in your low beam you know how bright they are, these fogs(H3 bulb by the way) are about 3/5th as bright on the road as the low beams but they widespread horizontally as well as vertically, they disperse very good on the sides . you get a very good light output on either side of your headlight which i thought was awesome. and also the hids disperse very high as well. you can easily read traffic sings and highway sings. however i have gotten flashed twice on my way home... so i told my brother to drive to the other end of the parking lot and come back. what i realized was that the hids sting your eyes from about 500-1000 ft because they are sooo bright.
but, while driving two cops went past me and I was following another cop for a good mile and i didn't get pulled over for them being too high or something... knock on wood
so i think it is a definite asset to get the hids because i dont have to turn on my low beams anymore for regular driving... in adverse conditions i will definitely turn on my low beams but for now i think im good...

Here are the pics!
This is a before shot with the OEM fog lights. I have Oznium's Flow Lighting 8K HID low beams and Silverstar fog light bulbs. The colors look kind of off from my camera, but you get the point.
Here are a couple showing Bat's light smoke overlay versus uncovered.
Here are a few on the car. I upgraded the fog light bulbs to 8K HID lights and got owned by a faulty ballast on the last pic so that's why only one fog light is on.
The color looks a lot different in the pictures, but it's not that drastic of a difference in person.
