thats because you wire them through the headlight relay... if you run a completely separate circuit... you can choose to turn them on and off regardless of the headlight being on or off.

for example: i am gonna run a separate circuit because im gonna have my angel eyez and the fogs running at the same time... its gonna look sexy

but there is a grey clip under the driverside headlight, do the VRDs connect to that clip?

that would be sweet if you made a walk through, i would would only need to know 100% if they plug into the grey connector that the stock fogs do under the driverside headlight. someone with them give me a confirmation that that is true, maybe a picture of the plug too

quite a thread revival... no write up that I know of, but it is extremely easy. If I recall, about an hour of work, taking your time, jacking up the car, etc. The directions that come with the fogs are clear and include pics. As far as the grey connector... If I had to guess, I think the VRD fogs plug into what you're talking about. It's been a while since I looked, but I think I plugged mine into a ballast that was taped somewhere below the battery.

The only problem I had with the install was that I had trouble reaching the ground location because I had moved it to put the intake mount there... oh well. Oh, and my hands are too big to reach beside the fuse box and slide the relay in, so mine is just laying there on some foam tape, lol.

u really cant mess up the install of VRD foglights

disconnected battery
i just removed my bumper (made it easier for me)
mounted fog lights
connected the wires of the fog lights (pos/neg poop)
connected the harness of the fogs to the empty harness on drivers side below battery ( i believe)
grounded it
connect interior switch to relay and then to harness
reconnect battery

dont have any pictures of the harness but its only ones u can logically connect to

then u can mod them to be on/off with parking lights and put hids

I have had them in for awhile now. I put them in myself, its 100% plug & play. There is a connector that is for the stock fogs that was hanging out right by my injen intake. The hardest part was getting my hand in the right position to make the connection.

The only issue I had was some fogging that occured bcuz i dint have the seal on the back of the light properly. I dried it out with an air compressor & zip tied the rubber seal on tight. Its perfect now.

Anyone have these with the OEM lipkit? How much harder is the install?

Also would it be better to install the lip kit first or the fogs.

I purchased the fogs, but not the lip kit yet.

Im not sure if I should put the fogs in just yet or after the lip kit comes in.

You'll have to trim the OEM lip kit a little, but it's not hard if you have a dremel. Install the lights first, then the lip kit.
