you break it off... drill out the pop rivets.
or does it come with a hinge? if not.. then don't drill the rivets.. use the stock hinge and then take it apart... cut as neccesary.

HOW TO REMOVE STOCK GAS DOOR LID AND INSTALL A FULL CF GAS DOOR LID.
AND YES I HAVE CONFIRMED THE WHOLE THING IS CF NO FIBERGLASS AT ALL.. THE WHOLE BACK MOLD IS CF
Well i finnally got it installed yesterday and it looks great.. was a lil hard to get the hinge off the stock door but after that it was easy
MAKE SURE TO BLUE TAPE AROUND THE AREA ON THE GAS DOOR AND ON THE BODY OF THE CAR.. JUST TO HELP PREVENT SCRATCHES.. I ENDED UP SCRATCHING THE INSIDE OF THE GAS DOOR HOLE BECAUSE I DIDN'T TAPE UP.
I took pics so it will help on install - the text is part mine and the guy creating these cf doors
1.
you will need bolts with nuts you can remove the rubber cover around the gas cap it only has a metal wire around the edge that will give you access to the back side so you can put the nut and hold inplace while you tight the front.
2.
remove the stock door from the car by removing the 2 factory rivets.
just use a drill to break the (alumiun rivets) they are very fragile so dont put to much force on the drill. your not looking to drill hole tru it you just want to take as much material of the front of rivet as possible then either use flat head screw drive with little force will break the rivet or just tap the inside so the rest of the rivet go tru the hole.
this was before i put on the cf door but used the bolts to hold down the stock ones on.
3. once you have the door and the bracket out remove the metal bracket from the stock door. by first removing the plastic stopper, then prying open the 2loops that hold the bracket to the metal pin on the stock door.
these are the tools i used to pry it off the gas door..
PRY IT OPEN ENOUGH so it can slip on to the cf door
4.
once they been open a bit you be able to slide the metal bracket onto the CF pin.
Then bend the loops back so they close tight but not to tight, install the plastic stoper back and you are done.
MAKE SURE TO TIGHTEN THE LOOPS ENOUGH SO THE DOOR DOESN'T MOVE FREELY TOO EASILY OR ELSE IT WON'T SIT AS FLUSH AS POSSIBLE WHEN MOUNTED.
AND BE CAREFUL BENDING THE LOOPS BACK REMEMBER ITS CF SO U CAN CRACK SOMETHING IF UR NOT CAREFULL.
and here are the final pics.. i think it could sit flusher if i used smaller bolt heads or squeezed the the loops better but i'm extremely satisfied..
let me kno what u guys think and if ur still interested in the group buy.

ur lucky if ur new one came with the braket.. less stress.. so the only thing u need to do is drill out the rivets and then just replace them with new bolts and wing nuts.. u don't have to do anything with ur braket..
and s0opa_tC, if ur interested pm me i'm trying to see if there is enough interest to start the group buy again..
