There's a group of people out there trying to get daytime running lights banned, for what reason? I have no flipping clue. And as for killing people? What about when the sun rises/sets and you can't see out your dirty windshield and get into a wreck? I guess they can just sue the Sun, amiright?

I agree. If you get HIDs you should adjust them to make sure they're not blinding other people on the road. I made my mom drive my car as I drove ahead of her in her car to make sure my HIDs didn't blind people. I hate it when people have blinding HIDs.

Daytime running lights area good thing, so I dont see why they would want those banned.

So, if a tornado throws a car through your house, obviously you cant do anything about it just nature (like the sun). If I dislike you and drive my truck through your house on purpose (aka, dumb kids installing lights improperly that blind others on the road) then I guess by your analogy you shouldnt do a thing.. right? Sorry, but your analogy was pretty stupid if you go back and read it.

Installing poor lighting kits that glare other drivers is a fairly large safety risk that YOU created, not something that is just there and cant be helped.

People wonder why "tuners" are "targeted" by others... it is just this type of dumb thinking.

Obviously suing for your OWN stupidity is just ignorant, but this is in no way comparable.

Engifineer I agree with you a 100%. DRL's are a great addition to our vehicles safety features. I also agree with you that these hid's, when poor quality is used or installed improperly, pose ligitimate driving concern. I am all for "follow-thru". If your gonna do something, do it right. And furthermore, when these kits are installed correctly, they pose no more issues than the everyday Lexus, imo. I dont think the people who are installing these lights do it because they "dislike" anyone. Its a simple matter of people choosing feature over function. These kits ligitimately put out more light than our halogens, however, its not needed. Guys like Hans are the respectful ones, who can"follow-thru" and make sure their lights are not destroying retina's, for that Hans, I thank you. Imo, someone who would sue over these lights IS like staring into the Sun. These lights are eye catching, causing people to stare at them, I know this because I have caught myself doing it a number of times. However, I manage to revert back to the good old days of drivers ed, and instead of staring at the lights, I find the white line. There arent a whole lot of those lights that make me resort to that, not even MOST hid's. So it is easy to see that, yes, if you stare into them, OF COURSE its going to affect your driving.......so stop staring at the sun, stop "disliking" people and "driving" into their houses. Dont knock everyone because a few ricers have the $20 ebay hid's. I dont support these guys, Hans tho, my hat is off to you, thanx for mutual driver respect. If we still have to hate, the go bark up some Lexus forum.

Are we ready for a group hug yet?

GROUP HUG!

Thanks lol I like to respect other drivers, i always thought Respect gets Respect. As long as its a quality kit and done right, i don't see a problem with it.

Oh, I am not hating at all. An like mentioned, those that do it right are fine. I just cant stand being blinded because someone else is careless in their modding... same way I feel about people who drive around with their brights on

I was making fun of people who sue for stupid ____ (like the woman who sued McDonalds because she didn't know hot coffee was hot)..not making fun of people who complain about being blinded by poorly adjusted lights, hell I _____ about Chevy's piece of crap lights all the time, that's why I ordered a set of tinted side mirrors.

The mcdonalds lady should have been hit with a large stick in public I cant believe that even made the papers, much less court. It is a sad sign of how our legal system and society have degraded.

The worst part about all of it, it's getting worse. People sue for the dumbest crap now...I heard about someone getting a settlement because a Gamestop sold her kid a game that was rated M and the kid was like 16...She shouldn't have gotten money, she should have been sent to a frigin parenting class .
