Well I did put that those were the projectors out of an Acura TL, the most commonly used projectors for a retrofit. I had no clue he was looking into Ebay projectors...
I don't know what kind of projectors he wants, I jsut made an asssumption. I wouldn't recommend using bulbs from a kit with OEM HID projectors either, just my $.02

I'm not sure I get what you're asking, but if you're talking about the look of the housing itself...

Retrofit Projectors

Stock housing

Check that out.

Retrofitting is putting OEM HID parts that came from the factory on another vehicle like and Acura TSX for example, into your headlight housings.

Buying an aftermarket headlight that already has projectors is an easier way to go, but they usually have poor light output and horrible cut offs. The retrofit is a lot of work but it can usually be done for 300-400 (price of projectors and a set of new HIDs'). You could do the easiest thing out of all the options and get the new '08 tC headlights. They're a direct swap with the 05-07, have projectors and all you would need to do is buy an HID kit. Those lights are about 400-440 for a set, plus 130-140 for a set of HID's. It's pretty costly no matter what path you take, but a retrofit with Acura TL projectors has the best light output and the best cutoff (it's the picture I posted on pg 2 or 3, the one with the perfect cutoff).

It's all up to you, if you feel confident in taking apart and having to cut some stuff..then be my guest. Btw, they go for around 100 usually on eBay. I thought about doing it myself a few times, but I already have HID's for the stock 9006 housing. If you don't feel confident with doing the retrofit, don't do it, just get the 08 headlights (unless you don't like the look of them, personally, I hate the turn signals on them).

Before you try the retro (if you do at all) go to www.hidplanet.com and read the university section and check out the retros that people have done and you can learn a ton before you even start.

If you want hid's i've got 5000k bulbs I'll sell you that will be off my car in about a week. They have only been in for less than 2 months... All you would need are ballasts.

You might need to adjust the cutoff, the correct height is in the manual. 4300K is optimal light output, 6000K is the highest you can go before starting to lose light output and without having to worry about cops.
