Well I got a set of headlights I’m waiting to install on my 05, can’t wait to get a clean cutoff now

But now I’m debating whether to bend the tabs inside the projector to eliminate the squirrel spotters. Are the squirrel spotters necessary? What purpose do they serve?

I'll be putting an 8000k HID kit.

Here some pics they look 6000k but the color is perfect matches with teh foglights I have. Ill try to get some better pictures I know my cutoff is kinda high gotta adjust that a bit...

im pretty sure the 08-09's dont fit on ur 05 so now u can jus ship them over to me and ill take them off ur hands LMAO (it was worth a shot lol) i know on a camry forum ive seen the new gen camrys bend the squirrel finder to make the cut off even better i need to look for the link or if u want jus search squirrel finder and im pretty sure it will show up

i have no clue im pretty sure they dont a clean cutoff doesnt have those little circles around them and alot of people bend them DO IT

I read that they help iluminate signs at night?? I dunno im still thinking cause there like two little squares of light above the cutoff.

i guess they are meant for that, but hey us 05's didnt have it nor needed it jus put ur high beam on and u can look at higher signs lol

Well yeah we didnt had them, cause the HID's put light all over the place haha... But still its in improvement over stock and the glare is not that bad, but I just love how projectors look and iluminate. Yeah I guess my golden yellow highs can help haha

Yeah it kinda kills the cutoff, ill post pics once I get these installed with a buddy, I havent taken off the front bumper before...

 

its pretty easy i just did my 08 headlight swap a week ago and i love it!! got it for xmas

no i didnt bend anything just installed it as is and added 8k hids that looks wonderful because the lens are projectors so the hid color is decreased by 1k so the basically i got 7k hids on... i also added a super white led bulb for the corner lights... best mod i did so far...

 

Bad part about the '08 projectors is the "Z" step in them is shifted way over to the right as shown in the picture above. Even my cheapo eBay Sonar projectors on my Ram had a better "Z" step.

Don't bend the tabs.. i know the cut off looks better but you actually want to see high road signs..

But other than that, nice! I just recently picked up '08 head too, Gonna be getting it installed on Monday by Doc I!! Also putting in some 4300K HIDs from mobileHID!
