Anybody try the new SilverStar Ultras for this mod? I was at Pep Boys today and was thiiiis close to buying a set of Ultras. $50/pair though. I gotta save my $cratch for games for my PS3!

Also; I've had my regular SilverStars in my car for almost a year now and have had zero problems. I liked them so much that I got my girl a set for her Matrix. The Matrix has Runing Daytime Headlights and she too has had zero problems in 8 months.

Does anybody have a picture of the 9005 Luminics Pure Blue and 9005 Liminics Ultra White with this retrofit?

Just need a comparison coz I'm thinking of doing this mod but not quite sure about the temp of the bulbs what would fit my taste.

I currently have the 9006 Luminics Ultra Whites installed and I like it that way but with a little pinch of blue if possible and of course, brighter! :D

Not sure if it was already mentioned, I want to do this mod but am thinking of just sticking with regular 9005 bulbs rather than get Silverstars.

Should I just stick with Toyota OEM 9005s, or what? Also, should I just get them from the dealer or whatnot? that is all! :D

you want to get at least Cool Blues if you change your lights. or at least some type of "hyper white" bulbs or it will end up the same color.

if you want the same color you can prolly get the sylvania Xtravision for the same color, and get them in 9005 for a brighter light than the OEMs

that could work too, it will be brighter than the 9006 for sure. I would try with the silverstars tho. Get better output!!!

silvania silverstars all the way.

replace the lows, the fogs, then do the fog-light hack (to stay on with hi-beams), and you have one very bright ride home.

Do you guys also switch out the high beams with Silverstars as well? I know its needed for the uniform look, but if you're like me, you don't use highs all that often.

Also, I suppose I'll have to switch the parking light bulb as well to match the whiter color, eh?

yay for new mods that I actually do and not go broke with

Paul, I left the high beams alone since no one ever seems them and they'd be another $50. As for parking lights, I recommend the PIAA Extreme White from Cardomain.

i have 9005 cool blues and OEM highbeams.. mainly for the same reason as you. . i dont use them too much...

and ive read that yes the parking light does affect the color beam.. you can always get the headlight bulbs in, then take out a parking light, and compare for yourself to see if that color works for your not.

and yes i love price efficient mods as well... lol .. like my screen but thats nother story haha

as mentioned earlier in the discussion, the yellow parkinglights affects the light color outpu of the silverstars. does upgrading to silverstar parking lights fix his issue? what color does the silverstar parkin lights emmit? coz i've read on the package itself that when lit it emits amber colored light. does that mean that it turns amber when you are using the signal or what?

i dont think so because our turn signal is housed in its own little bay thing. so i doubt it wil laffect the over all light beam.

Some of the best comparison shots I have seen on these forums. Nice to see someone who knows how to use thier digital camera. I was actually excited to see that the apeture, shutter and ISO settings were the same across all your pics! Awesome job!
