I was at spocom where the car was on display, here's a better look. Hope it helps.

This forum is slowly going down the crapper. It's turning into CSTC, ricer heaven. Instead of seeing threads about downforce, underbody channels, etc...we see threads about neons. I'm beginning to lose faith in the Scion community.
Beginning? I've lost hope LONGGGGGGGG ago.
Yeah, it has always been bad, but it's getting as bad as CSTC.

What do you expect when Scions are popular cars amongst the demographics that love Fast and Furious? Moreover, the market is getting filled with plenty affordable used Scions parents can buy their kids as beginner cars. Finally, lights and neons are some of the cheaper, more visible mods to do to a vehicle.

Edit: See my sig, lol.

Just because the mods are cheaper and "more visible" doesn't make them cool. And the point about liking the F&F is kind of irrelevant. I do enjoy the movies but you don't see me neon-ing it up or plastering the side of my car with vinyl graphics. Because frankly... I'm not that stupid.

^^Exactly, too me it is stupid to buy a mod like underbody neon when you cant even use it legally in half the states.

look everyones entitled to there own oponion. whats rong with the FandF cars there all tuners/carshow car. thats what i wanna make mine. i wanna make mine into a carshow car its a 2009 and brand new so why not start now. its not a stick so no point in a turbo or supercharger. why do you all have to be so harsh to fellow owners. neons and all that other stuff is just to make the car stand out and not be like every other scion out there. and if your modding your tc your on your way to becomming a FandF car its a import tuner and thats what all of them are. so maby half of you should take a look at ur cars more often and think why am i yelling at this kid when im doing the same thing to my car!

Uhm no, we are talking about underbody neon so no I nor the others are not doing the same thing to our cars. It is pointless, cant see it during the day and cant drive with it.

I didn't post to justify putting neon lights on vehicles nor to defend the notion. I am merely presenting the premise that it is the nature of the circumstances surrounding the vehicle - i.e. price, targeted audience, etc - that explains why there is such a surge in less informed, flashy-mod centric individuals. I didn't say they were cool either; that is a statement of subjectivity. Everyone is entitled to their opinions.

I do understand that it is illegal to drive the vehicles on the streets with such mods, but that does not make them stupid (now I am defending). By that same logic, it is illegal to drive cars faster than certain speeds in most roads, so performance mods are also stupid, especially on a fwd vehicle. Moreover, such mods actually endanger lives on street driven cars.

My point is, it is disgusting to see such elitist, non supportive behavior on a forum. It is not the newly registered posters whom are ruining it, but the lack of acceptance from older members. I mean, if you're going to put something down, at least add some constructive criticism.

Edit: Just scrolling up and down the page, I can see the ages of most of the people posting in it. I can see why the discussion isn't that mature. I will definitely refrain from posting anymore in this thread, or posting any responses. If you want to address something with me, PM me. I'd be more than glad to read what you have to say.
