I think it depends on the state. Here, you can have them on as long as they aren't strobing.

I'd like to wire up some red ones into the brake relay.

That's just me though.

They are absolutely ILLEGAL in Minnesota.

Alot of it is certain state laws. I have blue on mine, I dont drive around with them on all the time though. See I have LED suspension lights also, so that kinda lights up out the side of the vehicle also and makes me alot more noticeable. I think alot of it is just up to the officer pulling you over too. Just be smart about it and I dont think you will have a ton of issues.

I know this wont help the original poster much but in the California vehicle code it says that red is ok to have on while the car is in motion. Atleast thats what i think it says i didnt really have the patience to get through it.

Anyone from california want to comment on this?

Oh, not only can you not drive but you can't be ON (driving, sitting or otherwise) public roadways (anywhere where somebody could drive by you on a road) with them on.

in florida you can drive with the lights on the car as long as they dont flash while driving..or they are red and blue...

red and blue = illegal and not allowed
