wow, soo many responses, and good looking lights... but i still am a bit confused... the leds from www.superbrightleds.com for the license plate (WLED 6-LED bulb
12 VDC 6-LED Wedge Base bulb (194/168 type) are the same as the reverse lights??? and i wanted to get blue LED parking lights for the front, and a blue LED for the trunk as well... so total you have: white license plate lights, white reverser lights, and blue LEDS for parking lights and trunk... what sizes what sizes??? thanks

Yep (sorry for the blurryness.... no tripod yet):

Parking light comparison

Both in

Close up

With Silverstars in

Just like everyone else says... its much more white in person, the LP pics came out pretty accurate, but the parking lights are much whiter.

Hey let us know how long those bulbs last in the parking lights. I know superbrightleds.com puts a warning right on the package that says not to use them in parking or headlights.

They are good looking though. I just don't want to spend that kind of money every 2 months when they burn out.

i got that warning for the 6LED bulbs and sure enough they were going out 1LED at a time. About 2 months later maybe they were all gone.

I don't think mine would of even lasted a month with all the night driving I do. I put in brand new 5 led refrector type led into my parking lights, and in 2 days I already had some of the led's flickering. Maybe these will last a little longer cause of the differnet design? keep us updated, we're all interested!

i doubt it. Any heat going into the LED will cause some problems. im not too sure on what temp the lowbeams acutally get when lit but im sure its pretty high.

Wouldnt these be perfect for license lights?!

These led have heat shrink wrap around the leds that draws heat away from leds.

hsua - If you buy those lights, post some pics and let us know how they last.

I think it's going to be tough finding a LED that will hold up as a parking light bulb especially if you have Silverstars or some other aftermarket headlight bulb.
