Let me know what you all think! Thanks!

*Tow not toe.

But to answer the question, Subaru Impreza's (at least 2002-2007) had a removable front tow hook. Maybe even the evo's.

I'm interested but I ship off soon. I just don't like how these tow hook license plate kits are so damn expensive for what they are.

They’re made out of steel (very expensive right now), and have to be engineered. As I can pay my pop to do the engineering so it should be cheaper (typically guys like him that do custom job order get between $100-$200 an hour). Plus the machines that do this stuff are not cheap to run. Finally you have to be able to drill and tap the steel (which isn't hard). Finally I have to see what it will cost to do some sort of rust proofing. So there are many steps that are needed to complete these hence the price. However I guarantee ours will be Much Much Much higher quality then the competition.

cost of these just to move the plate is the reason i went with the one from 808 customs for like 15$

Why do these in steel and not aluminum? It's a license plate, not a a structural member. Rust issue solved, and cost reduced (easier to find a machine to mill aluminum too).

The rust issue isn't steel vs. aluminum always. Dissimilar metals will always rust. Just because the acceptor for the hook may be aluminum, if a different grade is used then rust can still occur. However it's extremely easy to combat corrosion on simple parts such as these. Something as simple as a light coat of oil, paint, etc can prevent rust.

As to if I'm interested, it's hard to say. It would be after I replace the front bumper since its cracked and has a license plate mount on it from the factory. Though I do like the idea and look of the screw in ones.

Was going to suggest that, if it's galvanic corrosion, standard axle grease works.

*** Update***
Hey guys
Going to a local shop in the area that we know the owner at, going to pitch the idea and get some pricing. I know this is taking a little while but we obviously want it done well. Thanks for those of you who are interested/subscribed to the thread!

***Update***
We basically have stage 1 done for this. So far we were able to do a quick test run and have the correct thread length and pattern.

Next week (hopefully Monday) we will have a prototype and will maybe be mounting a bracket to it.

I will upload a pic tomorrow (I have a lot of homework to do tonight)

***Anyone else interested in this finally when it is done please subscribe and respond to this post THANKS! ***

Im interested. My recommendation to you is to make it sit more flush to the bumper than that of other companies that make these, they all seem to sit off of the bumper like 4 inches.

Plus, i've helped you out a lot ;)

Stupid computer at work, won't let me post the image. I'll do it when I get home.

-Irish, it will be very close to the bumper, much closer then the current competition
