hope that helps man for 20 bucks u cant go wrong with spray paint thats color matched, aslong as u do a good job painting and clear coating the garnish will comeo ut solid, ____ i might even send u my garnish to fill in haha

 

LOL! I'm hoping the body work comes out fine! I was never into the filling / sanding procedure, mostly the painting.

Anyway..I was searching and can anyone tell me how the H-techs are not as bad on your struts? They still drop lower than 1.3, so how is it that it's not as a dramatic decrease in strut-life? I will definitely go with the H-techs if my struts don't die out on me in the next 30 or 40 thousand miles.

 

thats a decent drop, there not aggresive and wont put that much stress on ur struts there conservative, now when u start going 2" or lower then expect them to fail. but 1.9 front and 1.7 back isnt bad at all.

 

i had hotckis springs for about 30-40k and the struts where still fine before i switched out to coil overs. and hotchkis springs are a lot lower then Htechs so go for it, you wont have any problems with those

 

Ah ok. Now that I got an explanation, I guess I'll do H-techs then lol. I originally wanted S-techs but didn't want to buy the whole camber kit AND watch out for my struts so early.

Anyway..rosedaleny806, I'll post pics when its painted and refinished. If you want I'll definitely take on that task of taking off the badge and filling in the garnish on your car if you'd like!

Yeah..I redid the line last night so that it's a lot more straight and defined. Unfortunately, I kept touching the stupid ___ primer on the bottom portion and left finger prints and indentations all over the place LMAO! It was pure accident as I thought it was already dry. Oh well..it'll be an easy fix, I was more concerned about the line. I like it so far, but I HATE trolls! LOL

 

Just an update folks. I bought some 1E0 paint from my local Sherwin Automotive distributor. It looked dark at first but once sprayed..perfect. Anyway, I still have lots to do to it but I just wanted to give it a quick spray trial. Onto to the pics! This paint job is only temporary as I have intentions of resanding and respraying. Enjoy.

 

um.... ya you dont need camber kit for stechs lol, and you dont need to worry about your struts, if you wanna go low but cant get coil overs ($$) then get either stechs or hotchkis neither of which you'll have to worry about a camber kit or blowing your struts out... unless you drive like a retard.

Yah I was thinking about it lol. I'd have to buy an extra garnish, shave it, sand that baby down good and make a mold. I've been thinking about a couple parts as well since there are other parts on the tC that some owners would like to have lol.

Update y0! I ordered some H-techs from Assaultech and received and installed em today! I'm content so far..but it should look better once settled. Unfortunately..I cant say I'm to happy since my tranny gave out a couple hours after installing these. It's like I was built up only to be let down lol. Anyway..totally unrelated issue but onto the pics!










Of-course they aren't settled JUST yet..but once they are..I'll be sure to snap more pictures! Feel free to comment!

 

Oh I also have some APT's coming in. They took the money from my account but I haven't gotten a tracking number or anything from them lol. WTF?!

 

If you bought them from apt.auto on ebay you will get them. He has never ripped anybody off.
