i have a spec.. so ive never had sunroof issues

i personally think putting a speed limit on the sunroof i stupid. the sunroof is meant to be open, and cars are made to drive on highways.

It amuses me to read so many people trying to quote the manual when NO ONE HERE ACTUALLY LOOKED IT UP.

Page 25.

The manual says NOTHING about driving 55+ and keeping the moonroof closed. The only thing specific it mentions about driving with it open is that driving with it opened fully will cause "wind throbs" and you should drive with it in the "almost open" position.

They say the 2" from fully opened position... not "almost open."

Again, in my 2005 manual, there is NOTHING about keeping it closed past 55 mph and I have no idea where any of you would have gotten that. Of course, if anyone can give me a page number that says otherwise, I'll be glad to look it up and confirm... but I see nothing in my manual.

As for the TSB... it was for 2005 and early 2006 models to put a simple laminate on the back of the glass so even if it shattered, the glass wouldn't fall into the car. I got mine done years ago (and got one of the red Jada Toys tCs for it).

Anyway... glad to hear they're going to fix it for you. If they didn't do it under warranty, you should be able to have insurance cover it.

As for the rest of you... don't go "thinking" you read something and telling people they're doing something wrong or it is their fault when YOU DON'T KNOW. Take the 90 seconds to go look it up. It's not hard.

Too quote my favorite dog, Brian: Are you sure you read it in a book? Are you sure it wasn't nothing?
