Could have been something in the ruts that caused it to go back and not close . Interesting as I have not heard of this until now on the TC . Does it now work while sitting still ? If still under warranty and is working ok , call the dealership so they know about it in case it quits working after the warranty period .

while sittin still it won't close on it self, i had to hold down the wind defelctor in the front of the roof down so that my sunroof can roll on top of that, while i'm drivin, i guess it's easier for the sun roof to close because wind actually pushes down the deflector, tha's my theory.... would that be covered under warranty

I had the same thing, started when the weather got really warm. It would hit the support struts for the deflector and retract. I asked them to look at it one day when I had my oil changed and 10K service done, and it took them the entire day to "reset the computer." I don't know what that entailed, but they must have disconnected my battery as my radio was goofy etc.

It has been working fine since then.

Mine also did the same for two days this past summer. It would stop about 3/4 of the way when I rolled it in. And then it would stop and go back. I haven't had any problems since. Kinda wierd.

I had the same problem and took the car in and they had it for a few hours they had to clean the tracks and re-lube them the grease had dried or been wiped off from cleaning. No big deal at least you know you can't cut your head off if you try to close the sunroof with your head out of it. LOL You'll live.

Mine was doping this, it was a simple thing for the dealership to clean and adjust it since it was under warranty. If you NEED to have it closed you can roll down your drivers window and gently push down in the deflector while you are closing the roof. It will close then. It's when it tries to push the deflector down itself that it senses too much forse and opens again....
