Need a Front Bumper Replacement/Repair - tC 2006 HELP!
I recently drove over a pile of rocks in a friend's driveway and my front bumper split. It's a hairline crack that is very clean and nothing else is broken/damaged. It's a 2006 tC nautical blue... I LOVE this car!!!
The dealership said they'd apoxy the back, and refinish the front to make it look like new for $423. Is this a reasonable price?
Another friend recommended that I try to find an aftermarket replacement bumper.
What should I do?! PLEASE HELP! Thanks so much in advance for any replies...

i am sure if you look hard enough for a good shop in your area that they can do the same service for possibly cheaper. most of the time the dealership is ALOT higher than it should be imo. if you want to go after market body kit, by all means do it :D

hmm.. not sure how much a replacement costs over fixing it..
but i'd go aftermarket which is fair... (except for paint..)
but whatever extra money you spend... hey.. it's an upgrade..

Seems that the body repair quote you received is reasonable. Depending on your area's labor rate, replacing should be anywhere from $500-$700. An aftermarket bumper is also an option, but sometimes there are issues with fit and quality. You may also want to check into remanufactured bumpers, which are repaired OEM bumpers where the price is comparable to aftermarket ones.
I also agree w/ADR in that dealers often unnecessarily mark up their labor and charge much more than other reputable body shops in the area, so you may be able to find a better deal by shopping around a little bit.
