IMO, paying someone to do it is paying too much. Check out this thread: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=57023. That is someone who painted his wheels properly and it came out damn good. He got instructions from: http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1119972. There's really not much to it. Most of the process is spent waiting for stuff to dry. The materials shouldn't cost more than $30, $40 at the very most. I'd guess a couple hundred to have them done at a shop. If you do it youself and totally F it up twice and have to redo it, it'll still be cheaper than having someone else do it. What do you have to lose?

no offence, but that is a crappy masking job and you can tell from the rims, at least an inch is still the stock color. dont be lazy, that is the result...

He said he half-assed the paint job, right? Leave it alone. I'm sure he did it just to see what it would look like. Those aren't even his street wheels anyways. Who cares what they look like!
Komik, cool idea for your auto-x wheels. I love your street wheels, though (not the color for me, but the design). What kind are they? Thanx.

No offenSe, but you're an idiot. Take a second look at the FIRST POST IN THIS THREAD:

I was in a hurry to have them dry for today. I did this from 7-10 last night, mostly in the dark with only light from my headlights. They actually turned out rather nice looking aside from how poorly they were masked off, and the paint peels easily because I didn't really prep them. I'm going to repaint them later on and do it much better.

Wrapped in garbage bag and masked off (somewhat):...
Geez, some people are just so eager to say negative things that they don't even bother to see what they're talking about.

Thank you Blue tC, it's nice to know that some of these screen names have brains attached to them. My street wheels are 18" ADR Fuel Rims with Kumho Exsta ASX 225/45/18's on them. I originally got them for my Acura about a year before I got my tC. I finally bought tires for them two months ago. Luckily, they fit on the tC. :D
