Default New to NEON LIGHTS...

I've been debating on getting some BLUE NEON lights for the underbody of my car.

I was just wondering if there are any laws about them being Illegal or anything. If blue lights are illegal to drive with under you car...are there any colors that arn't illegal?

they are all illegeal, you cannot drive with them on, they are for show use only. you will get stopped and ticketed if they catch you with them on while driving.

Are you serious....this sucks. So if I was in a parking lot cruising around I would get ticketed?

Yes blue is the main color that is illegal. The red isnt inforced as bad since it is the color of your tailights also. I run blue lights on mine. I do not drive around with them on all the time though. A parking lot is a private place and usually will not get you a ticket. If you pull out on the public street then yes they can ticket you. Hope that helps you on the choices.

You should be ok in a parking lot, but I know people who got a ticket for their lights while they were parked (and they had purple, not blue or red). I guess the cop was having a bad day.

Just make sure no bulbs are directly visible, so all you see is the glow.

purple is reserved specifically for herses(think the spellings right)

blue-bad
red-bad
green-ok
white-usually ok
pink and other ones, it really depends, but the only arguable ones would be green, maybe amber/yellow, all others they can claim as special colors

i newver got a ticket for having my lights on parked

So I could drive with a WHITE neon on the road..and not get ticketed? Or ALL neon is illegal on the public roads.
