well these were the steps I took.

1. quick out line with polygonal lasso, use the delete button, if you want to remove the last entry point.

2. edit>adjustments>gradient map> pic the black -grey-white slider bar

3. highlight the working layer and use either curves or levels to darken the highlighted area.

whenever you are trying to to creat a black and white image, never use desaturate, use gradient map. desaturate removes too much picture info and the picture loses its luster. Using grandient map, still keeps the luster/life of the photo and does not lose as many shades of grey that desaturate does.

you can try desaturating and grandient map to compare the difference. Desaturate is usually what beginners mistake, along with using brightness and contrast as opposed to curves and levels.

hope that helps

cheers

I think it looks best with a cf hood and only the bottom lip with the vinyl.

i think just the bottom lip covered would look great.. i dont think the center would look good covered as like some people said there are no indentations

also should make 2 kits for the bottom lip one for stock and one for the factory body kit.. also on the body kit one it should come out more to the sides then the stock bottom that way to follow the lines of the kit better...i dont like it the way it is in them pics that Dakine posted... it just doesn't follow the lines of the kit and looks out of place. i would suggest something more like how the bottom lip is on the pics that supermario posted... maybe slightly different but you get the idea...

Edit: here i did a quick photoshop on how i think it should be using one of the pics dakine posted.. i just extended it out more to the sides and a very small flare out on the bottom so it looks nice a flush

Los, maybe this will help...
IMO, with a ground effects lip, just the bottom looks silly. It breaks up the flow of the lip. The bumper portion alone looks good. Without the factory ground effects, I think either just the bottom or both look good.
