Default omfg! paint swirled from brush carwash!

Ive only had my tc for a week, and i used a local gas station car wash. all my life it has been power wash, but apparently it has been recently downgraded to 'brushes'.i was ____ed because i didnt realize this untill i paid for it and drove in. i was going to back out because i know brushes leave swirls, but the front and back doors shut because of the cold weather. after about 2 minutes of repeated go arounds on the top and sides, i exited when it was over, and shure enough my paint job is super swirled, and there is even a surface scratch on the back left in the middle about 6 inches long!! wtf!, i am so mad! i know they have a no liabilty policy prob but can i do something? i think i could have leverage because the doors were shut i couldnt exit or i would of. the only things is how do i prove it, this i know. tell me what you all think i could, or should do, and also how much would it be to fix?? thanks in advance.

you had a really bad idea going to the car wash in the first place. I wouldn't let anything or anyone wash my car but me.

Unfortunately, I don't think that there is anything that you can do.

I hate to say it.......but you get what you pay for......cheap price on car wash ...cheap results, pay $20 bucks results in happier times......... SOrry bro, but you couldn't see from far away that there were brushes ? or just keep driving ...or stay still ? you messed up by being cheap...

i seen car washes prices going up to 45 dollars. Comes with the whole bang wax and everything...(I think that's over priced my opinion).

If you can't fix it... and you really hate those swirls.... I suggest start all over and get another clear coat

If you use a foam pad on a buffer with a little Meguairs swirl remover it will remove the swirls, this comes from my fiance, he manages a body shop and has done so for 17 years, so it comes on good authority. Good luck to you!

Theirs like a 30 dollar option here which they cover you interior with "Vinyl" layers....don't know how that works but according to them it prevents your interior from getting dirty....lol don't know hwo that works.

That sucks! From what I learned, the paint on the Scions are very sensitive. I can't even go to a car wash cuz the paint scratches easily. Just do it yourself and be careful with what you wipe your car with.

you should be able to get it buffed right out, the swirls that is. how deep is the scratch? through the paint? if not, it too may be able to be buffed out, depended on the depth of it.

you can probably buff the swirls out.

imo, wash the car yourself to avoid further anguish. at least if something goes wrong you have no one to blame but yourself.

Never go through a car wash if you care about your car a lot. Even touchless ones use really harsh chemicals to make up for the fact that they are touchless.
